Established in 2008, Default Company began as a small dance theater collective in Athens, Greece.
Founded by visionary artists Alexia Beziki, Kallirroi Papadopoulou, and Xenia Themeli, the journey began with a simple and strong desire: to use art as a tool for sparking meaningful conversations about the world around us.
We believe in the transformative power of theater, dance, visual arts, cinema, and multidisciplinary performances. Our goal is straightforward yet impactful: to create engaging artistic experiences that not only entertain but also provoke thought and inspire dialogue.

Our portfolio of past works reflects our commitment to artistic excellence and social impact. From the heartfelt "The Child and the Spells" to the thought-provoking "Weather Stories," each production is a testament to our dedication to pushing boundaries and challenging societal norms.

In August 2024, Default Company, in collaboration with the Φ Center for the Advancement of Noesis, will host the second edition of the Gifted World Experience conference in Chicago, Illinois, USA. This immersive event promises to delve deep into the complexities of giftedness and neurodiversity.
Alongside this endeavor, we're proud to present "Haris," our latest theatrical endeavor. Through "Haris," we aim to confront the stigma and misconceptions surrounding the neurodiversity of giftedness and shed light on the experiences of gifted teenagers; challenging stereotypes and fostering understanding with honesty and empathy.
